Collaborative Governance of Public Health: A Cultural and Ethical Perspective on Predicting Citizens' Trust in Public Health Services During Medical Emergencies

Over the years, citizens' expectations of the healthcare sector have increased, especially after the sudden outbreak of COVID-19. Additionally, citizens are becoming more conscious of having a healthier lifestyle based on several environmental and economic issues prevailing worldwide. Hence, empirically testing the predictors of providing excellent public healthcare services and enhancing the resultant citizens' trust in such services is of utmost significance. Simultaneously, the critical role of healthcare workers' capacity in providing quality services to patients in public health institutions and improving healthcare services to develop citizens' trust needs has been considered in this study. Based on a quantitative survey, the current study collected data from 460 individuals regarding three collaborative governance practices and resultant improved public healthcare services. The results revealed the significance of all three collaborative governance of public health practices. Citizen participation was the most impactful, followed by democratic accountability and procedural legitimacy. The study results are valuable to practitioners, policymakers, healthcare service providers, and governments. Among the recommendations are that collaborative governance practices should be developed, the healthcare system should be decentralized to provide the best services to citizens, and public healthcare workers' capabilities should be improved by providing proper training. © 2023, Florida Gulf Coast University. Innovation in the utilization of digital-based social media in readiness to organize concurrent regional head elections in the covid 19 pandemic era

Digital-based simultaneous regional head elections which aim to build autonomous regions. This is in accordance with the regional government administration system in Indonesia, namely the Regional Autonomy policy which explains that each Regional Government is implemented based on the principle of decentralization in the form of broad, real, and responsible autonomy. In the context of implementing such broad, real and responsible autonomy, the Regent and Deputy Regent have a very strategic role in the field of governance, development and community service and are fully responsible for the running of regional government. The essence of the aforementioned objectives, among others, is to emphasize more on the principles of democracy, community participation, equity and justice and to pay attention to regional potential and diversity. Thus it can be interpreted that regional autonomy is expected to prosper the people and revive democracy which is reflected in the program, performance and figure of a regional head who is currently directly elected. © IEOM Society International.

The nurses role in educating the prevention of transmission of the covid-19: A study on improving the healthy living among urban communities

Background: The importance of health quality is the desire for everyone and generally healthcare can be done by health professionals such as nurses or paramedics. The implications of good health realization can be seen from the ability of nurses in educating the society regarding the dangers of viruses transmission from COVID-19 which is a global pandemic that occurs in almost all parts of Indonesia Objective: The purpose of this study is to describe the role of nurses as an educator in overcoming the occurrence of Coronavirus transmission. Method: Qualitative approach is used to explore and describe the problems of the disease-related the phenomenon that occurs in the society by educating related the transmission and how to overcome the Coronaviruses for people living in the urban areas Result: COVID-19 is a new type of virus and has a fast transmission to the community. And the lack of personal protection equipment is certainly a problem of nurses or paramedics to educate the society regarding the danger’s effects of virus transmission to communities that living in urban areas. Conclusion: The important role of nurses as health educators for the public is certainly beneficial in helping people avoid the spread of COVID 19 viruses in urban areas. However, the lack of personal protective equipment, of course, will impact anxiety for nurses when conducting socialization on how to effectively avoid transmission of the viruses.
